Women's Ministry

"Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son,

and of the Holy Ghost; teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you." Matthew 28:19-20

The educational task of the church is to teach its membership the theological underpinnings of a faith that made real the hope of the Christian gospel for people.  Christian Education is essential to the growth and the development of the members of any congregation. We are charged with the awesome responsibility of explaining the blueprint that Christ has provided for us to those new to the faith and to those continuing, as we are, on the path of a life built with Christ as its foundation and center. Lora-Ellen McKinney writes, "Christian education is, above all else, a process that helps a community of believers understand theology, learn Christian history, reinforce personal decisions to live for Christ, and make commitments to the internal and outreach ministries of the local church".

Women's Ministry

The Women in Waiting Ministry is designed to provide a spiritual and physical forum of ministry to women.  Spiritually, this ministry is designed to promote an authentic relationship with Jesus Christ and to introduce and provide opportunities for ministry such as seminars, bible study and prayer meetings.  Physically, this ministry will be designed to address issues of interest to women such as personal health, beauty, and home.  Also, there will be various opportunities to promote fellowship among the women.

Why Women in Waiting?

In the royal court, the queen is attended by her women in waiting. The bride in a wedding party has her bridesmaids who are hopeful, wishing, and waiting to be the next bride. The Bible speaks of the bridegrooms coming. We wait on the coming of the Lord, our Bridgroom! For us, He comes many times in our lives. He comes when we honor Him with our praise, our worship, our tithes, offering, and our lives. He comes in times of trial, tribulation, sadness, love, and joy. We honor Him with our faithful waiting… filled with expectation of His coming.
